Mr. Goodman has assisted in the development from the ground up of over 300,000 square feet of commercial space in the Vail Valley including Edwards Village Center (offices, shops, restaurants, post office); Edwards Commercial Park (contractors, design firms); Edwards Corner (high end retail, medical and restaurants), as well as Brush Creek Industrial Center, and Airport Gateway Center at the Eagle County Regional Airport (banks, newspaper, car dealer, COSTCO).  Current projects include Vines at Vail, a mixed-used site being developed from the ground up that will include a winery and lodge, commercial, flex-space, patio homes and lofts.  Other recent projects include work at Crossroads at Vail (movie, grocery, offices, residences), Chapel Square at Avon (mixed commercial and residential); Riverwalk at Edwards (hotel, movie, grocery, offices, commercial, residential).  Mr. Goodman is also very familiar with leasing, and the  purchase and sale of businesses and restaurants.

Although Mr. Goodman's practice focuses on commercial and residential resort real estate transactions and litigation in and around the Vail, Beaver Creek, and Aspen, Colorado ski areas involving land use, development, construction and design contracts, construction defect litigation, and owners associations, he has handled cases involving divorce, child custody, sexual abuse, personal injury, death, discrimination, wills, estates, and finance.  Mr. Goodman has also worked as an expert witness.

PERSONAL:  Mr. Goodman this year celebrates 20 years of marriage; has 3 children ages 14, 16 and 18; owns two stubborn Labrador retrievers; and is an avid cyclist, snowboarder, and occasional surfer.

Kerry has been actively involved in the formation and representation of homeowners associations in Eagle, Summit and Lake Creek Counties. This representation includes drafting and modifying governing documents, advising Boards of Directors on various legal issues, and prosecution and defending homeowners associations in litigation including construction defect matters. In addition to homeowners associations, Kerry’s practice extends to formation and interpretation of contracts, real estate transactions, both commercial and residential, corporate entity formation, purchase and sale of businesses, employment matters and family law.

Kerry has served on the Eagle County Planning and Zoning Commission which makes recommendations directly to the Eagle County Board of County Commissioners from 2003 through 2007 in order to utilize her legal background in the areas of planning, zoning and real estate matters to assist in shaping the growth and future of Eagle County. During Kerry’s tenure on the Eagle County Planning and Zoning Commission, she assisted with the redrafting and adoption of the Eagle County Master Plan.

PERSONAL: Kerry has resided in Colorado all of her life and is a mountain enthusiast which necessarily includes skiing and biking. Kerry has two children ages 7 and 11, the oldest of which competes in free-style skiing and the younger which gets coached by Mom in soccer.
